King for Refugees sponsors and settles newcomers in King.
We connect people to people and help build stronger communities.
King For Refugees formed in 2015 at the height of the Syrian crisis, which
saw the largest mass movement of people since the second world war.
To date, King for Refugees has helped 25 newcomers from different parts
of the world resettle in King, Canada.
Many residents of King Township and beyond, along with civic groups,
faith groups, schools, organizations and businesses have come together
to help with the sponsorship of refugees. There is continued interest
and support in King to resettle newcomers here.
